GMA Network is still the top Filipino news and entertainment media company on Facebook and TikTok, with over 24 billion combined views from January to August 2023, according to Tubular data. On Facebook, GMA Network’s News and Entertainment pages tallied a consolidated 18,208,285,557 video views for the said period, ahead of ABS-CBN’s 13,629,192,917. On Tiktok, the Kapuso Network’s News and Entertainment accounts recorded 5,824,856,382 views from January to August while ABS-CBN had 5,047,901,445 views.
In August alone, GMA Network had the highest video views on Facebook and TikTok with 3,670,421,051 consolidated video views on all news and entertainment accounts – again ahead of ABS-CBN’s 2,695,014,056 total video views.
GMA dominated Facebook with 2,620,197,756 video views as compared to ABS-CBN’s 1,767,805,674 video views. Likewise, the Network ruled TikTok with 1,050,223,295 views versus ABS-CBN’s 927,208,382 video views.
GMA Network’s Facebook pages also secured the top spot among other entertainment media companies, amassing a total of 1,036,293,299 video views as of August. Meanwhile, GMA remains as the netizens’ preferred source for the latest news and inspiring stories even on Facebook, with GMA Public Affairs’ official Facebook page garnering a total of 199,881,680 views and GMA News’ getting 194,392,643 views in August. Both accounts dominated ABS-CBN News and News 5’ pages, which only tallied 76,757,865 and 5,085,806 views, respectively.
JESSICA SOHO RECOGNITION
Beyond dominating on-air and online, multi-platform leader and multi-awarded GMA Public Affairs show "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" has earned a finalist spot at the 2023 Asia Contents Awards (ACA) and Global OTT Awards – adding to the show’s long list of international recognitions.
Hosted by Jessica Soho, "KMJS" is nominated in ACA’s Best Reality and Variety category for its story “Sugat ng Pangungulila (Wounds of Woes).” KMJS is the sole Philippine nominee in the said category, joining Netflix’s "Physical 100", "SNL Korea" Seasons 3 & 4, "Let’s Feast Vietnam", "Our Game: LG Twins", "TVING’s Food Chronicle", and “Content Wavve’s Bloody Game 2.”
