Yes Studios announced that its latest drama series, set to debut on the international market at the upcoming Series Mania event, is the riveting six-part action drama "Embassy Down". Inspired by true events and written by Shlomo Moshiach, the talented creator and award-winning screenwriter behind hit series such as "Your Honor" and "The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem", "Embassy Down" takes us back to 2011, during the time of civil unrest in Arab nations known as the “Arab Spring.”

At the height of the turmoil, five Israelis find themselves trapped inside the Israeli embassy in Tahrir Square, Cairo, while thousands of angry demonstrators attempt to break in by tearing down the embassy wall. "Embassy Down" follows the gripping story of how they endure a 24-hour siege, left to fend for themselves while desperately seeking a way to escape imminent danger. Over the course of this tense day, conflicts intensify, particularly between security agent Tal Shemtov and Roy Barzani—his childhood friend, who is now head of security and also his boss—as well as Barzani’s girlfriend Hagar, who finds herself in the middle with a secret of her own. As political and personal stakes collide, and values of solidarity and the promise that “no soldier is left behind” appear hollow, both fragile friendships and national relations between Egypt and Israel are pushed to the brink.

The title is a high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat international drama told in Hebrew, Arabic, English, and French. The series was written by Shlomo Moshiach and created by Shlomo Moshiach, Ariel Benbaji, and Ester Namdar-Tamam. Directed by Ariel Benbaji, it is produced by ARTZA Productions (The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, Stockholm) and yes TV. yes Studios, home to major international series such as Fauda, Your Honor, Night Therapy, and The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, serves as the international distributor for both the completed series and the scripted format.

"Embassy Down", which premiered on yes TV on February 4th, features an all-star cast, including Sean Softi ("Checkout", "Chanshi"), Maor Schwietzer ("Shtisel", "Red Skies"), Yael Elkana ("The Chef"), Ran Kaplan ("Superdaddy"), Yoel Rozenkier ("The Commune", "Plan A"), Ali Ali "(The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem"), Hisham Suliman ("Fauda", "Your Honor"), Wael Hamdoun ("Ento Arab", "One Day in October"), Igal Naor ("Oslo", "Munich Games"), Moris Cohen ("The Malevolent Bride"), and Dina Sanderson ("The Commune", "Uri & Ella").

Sharon Levi, managing director of yes Studios, celebrated the storytelling of the title: “'Embassy Down' sheds light on a fascinating time in recent history and uses real events to anchor a compelling story of people under siege, failed rescue attempts, and tension-filled personal and professional relationships, all set against a backdrop of fragile international politics. I was immediately captivated by this incredible script and intrigued by the episode structure, which follows two storylines: one unfolding in Cairo during the siege, and another in France a year later. The second storyline begins subtly but gains momentum throughout the series, culminating in a dramatic final episode where several major questions are resolved. We are thrilled to add another beautifully produced series from ARTZA Productions to our growing catalog. With its strong storyline, set against an inherently intriguing historical moment, as well as complex characters, intense action, and international settings, we are confident that Embassy Down will appeal to major buyers around the globe," expressed.
