On March 24 in Lille (France), within the framework of the Series Mania festival, a high-level strategic meeting—closed-door and by invitation only—will bring together key institutional representatives and professionals from France, Canada, and Spain. This meeting will mark the first step toward Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2025, which will take place in Cuenca, Spain, in June.

The gathering will serve as a prelude to the official Focus Countries program of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2025, where France and Canada will be the main protagonists. It will provide a platform for institutional dialogue and business cooperation, aiming to foster new co-production partnerships and promote the international circulation of content.

The discussions and exchanges in Lille will shape a second meeting, this time public, which will be held as part of the official Conecta Fiction & Entertainment program from June 16 to 19 in Cuenca.

A distinguished institutional delegation from the three countries will take part in the meeting. France will be represented by officials from the Centre National du Cinéma (CNC), USPA, Le SPI, and Eurocinema. The Canadian delegation will include representatives from the Canada Media Fund (CMF), SODEC, Ontario Creates, CMPA, APFC, and the Embassy of Canada in France.

As the host country of the upcoming edition of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, Spain will have a strong institutional presence, including representatives from the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Administration (through SEDIA and SETT), the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) of the Ministry of Culture, ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, and Catalan Films. The Institut Français d’Espagne will also be present, reinforcing its role as a cultural bridge between both countries.

Beyond the institutional component, the meeting will bring together a distinguished group of professionals from the audiovisual ecosystem of the three countries, including executives from broadcasters, platforms, distributors, and production companies with strong international reach.

From Canada, participating companies will include Lionsgate Canada, Bell Media, Incendo, Ideacom International, Attraction Distribution, and Border2Border Entertainment, among others. On behalf of France, professionals from companies such as Fédération Studios, as well as representatives from USPA, will be present. Representing Spain, companies and creators associated with RTVE, Morena Films, Amazon Prime Video, Portocabo, M Content, and the producers' association PATÉ, among other key industry players, will attend.
