All3Media International’s "Fresh Meat" drama recently sealed various deals in the U.S. for its cast reunion, hosted as a celebration of their 10-year anniversary.
Distributed by All3Media International, the student life comedy drama was created by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain for Channel 4 from Objective Media Group, UK. Though most of the deals that garnered popularity for the show were made on a global-scale, airing across Europe, Australia, Asia and North America, the most recent ones were signed in the US and Canada on the Roku Channel, Tubi and Crackle for AVOD. The show is also available on Prime Video in the US.
In light of the milestone, the comedy drama's six cast members- Jack Whitehall, Charlotte Ritchie, Zawe Ashton, Joe Thomas, Kimberly Nixon and Greg McHugh, will gather at a live retrospective event at London’s BFI this month. The show's creators will also contribution an in-person discussion and screening.
Some of the credits Armstrong and Bain are credited with include "Peep Show," which became available through a partnership with DRG/ NENT, as well as "The Old Guys," "Babylon" and, alongside Chris Morris, the movie "Four Lions." Armstrong’s multi-award-winning drama, Succession, has been renewed for a fourth series, whilst Sam Bain’s film "The Stand In," starring Drew Barrymore, debuted in 2020.
The four-season run's British cast went on to contribute to other popular, global titles, such as Disney film Jungle Cruise with Emily Blunt and Dwyane Johnson, while Zawe Ashton recently joined the multi-Emmy winning "The Handmaid’s Tale," and Charlotte Ritchie starred in BAFTA-nominated comedy "Feel Good and Ghosts." Kimberley Nixon joined the cast of "Jack Thorne’s The Accident," and acclaimed drama "The Salisbury Poisonings," and Greg McHugh has starred in the popular fantasy series "A Discovery of Witches" and "Joe Thomas," among various other success stories.
