Pantaya, Amazon Prime Video, and VIS, a division of ViacomCBS, confirmed plans to begin producing two additional seasons of “Ana.” The title will be available to stream on Pantaya in the United States and Puerto Rico and on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world, including Mexico and all of Latin America. “We are very pleased to confirm new seasons for the hit series Ana,” stated Federico Cuervo, Senior Vice President and Head of VIS Americas. "Ana is a perfect example of our studio's commitment to creating quality stories and partnering with the best creatives in the industry."
The VIS production was created and written by Ana de la Reguera, who also serves as showrunner and stars in the series. The media expert worked closely with Fernanda Eguiarte, Anaí López, Marcelo Tobar and Alejandra Olvera to complete the project.
Recognized for her contribution to popular titles such as David E. Kelley's Amazon Original series “Goliath,” Zack Snyder's “Army of the Dead,” “Diablo Guardián,” “Un Extraño Enemigo,” “El Juego de las Llaves,” and the recently released “The Forever Purge,” de la Reguera was recently nominated at the GLAAD Media Awards as Best Television Series Scripted in Spanish; she was also nominated at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards in the Comedy category and in the Produ Awards as Best Actress in Comedy.
In the second season, Ana will try to maintain her sanity as she is forced to face her mother, who now lives with her in Los Angeles. During the third part of the comedy series, Ana must rebuild her life and regain her credibility as an actress. “I am really happy to continue sharing this story and that the audience has received it as we expected,” de la Reguera said. “The next two seasons will be a lot of fun! Thanks to ViacomCBS, Amazon Prime Video, and Pantaya for all the trust since the beginning of this project. They have allowed me to grow a lot as a creator and I will be infinitely grateful to them."
