Banijay UK launches scripted production company Double Dutch

Banijay UK has launched Double Dutch, a scripted production company leaded by drama producer Iona Vrolyk. The new label, which has launched with immediate effect, will capitalize on Vrolyk’s reputation for developing and producing popular, original, returning series and her relationships with top writing talent.

This includes writer Julie Gearey, who will be a key collaborator with Double Dutch. Vrolyk and Gearey first worked together on shows such as “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” (ITV2) and “Prisoners’ Wives” (BBC One), before developing and executive producing “Cuffs” and, most recently, “Intergalactic”.

She has a rock-solid reputation for delivering popular, returning titles. She understands how to be commercial but won’t compromise on creative ambition.
