Beta Entertainment Spain has wrapped up filming for the reality show "Wags, They Play Too," which is set to air this Autumn on Mediaset Spain. "More than just WAGs, we are discovering 'Star Wags,' modern, groundbreaking, fun, social media queens, and highly professional women who don't care about stereotypes and clichés because they don't label themselves," Javier Pérez de Silva, CEO of BETA Spain and executive producer of the series, said.

The series, executive produced by Javier Pérez de Silva, Jacobo Eireos, and Christian Gockel, has captured in 2023 Paddy and Marcos Llorente's journey to their wedding and the construction of their new home; the end of Mina and Fede Valverde's pregnancy and the birth of their child; Zoe's balancing act between motherhood to 1-year-old Theo and her return to work as a DJ, tattoo artist and entrepreneur; and how Alba's life is transformed after her husband Sergio Rico's terrible accident in El Rocío, Huelva, Spain, when a horse kicked him in the neck, leaving him in a coma and severely injured.

Mediaset handles international sales of the product and, along with Beta Spain, the adaptations of the format, which can be replicated in any territory interested in this universe due to the incredible global appeal of the Spanish EA Sports football league. BETA Entertainment Spain is one of the key producers in factual, reality, and factual entertainment in Spain. They produce, among others, the successful docureality series "Los Gipsy Kings" for Mediaset, "Se acabó: el mundo de María Jiménez" for Atresmedia, "11 tiros" and "Zero Waste Chef" for HBO MAX, and the mini-documentary series "Papá cumple 80 años" for TVE.

The reality show showcases the daily lives of four spectacular, entrepreneurial, and empowered women who are also partners of well-known football players. Following in the footsteps of other successful reality shows that depict the lives of Wags, like "Georgina" on Netflix, the protagonists of BETA's production are influencer and entrepreneur Paddy Noarbe, the wife of Marcos Llorente from Atlético de Madrid; model, DJ, tattoo artist, and entrepreneur Zoe Cristófoli, partner of Theo Hernández, former player for Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid, and currently with AC Milan; journalist Mina Bonino, partner of Fede Valderde from Real Madrid, who is not only a sports journalist but also an entrepreneur; and finally, Alba Silva, married to Sergio Rico, the goalkeeper for Paris Saint Germain. "It's much more than entertainment," Javier Pérez de Silva said. "We are seeing social media in long format. And it's hypnotic content. You can't stop watching.”
