Big Media will present a slate of new shows to the three leading content markets taking place this month: NATPE Global, Content Americas, and Realscreen Summit. “Every year we gain more insight into how market conditions impact what’s in demand. That insight comes from attending content markets where our team can interact with buyers directly and get first hand feedback on what’s working and what isn’t. This feedback impacts our development and production slate throughout the year,” said Jon Loew, CEO, BIG Media. “From that knowledge base, BIG MEDIA will be in Miami and New Orleans armed with a catalog that is our strongest ever. Each of these three trade shows has its own unique approach and we look forward to the opportunities to learn by attending all of these markets.”

The slate includes the series "Destruction Decoded," which has just sold to Amazon Prime’s Freevee. In addition, Big Media has picked up global rights to the two-part series " Tutankhamun Files" and will be debuting the show at all three conferences. In addition to these two series, the company is highlighting the 14th season of true crime series "Wardens," four new seasons of the survival series "Dropped" (82 x 30’), and science and engineering series "The Reinventors" at the events.

To better meet the demand for more Spanish-language content, Big Media substantially bolstered its Spanish-language programming library in 2023 by securing worldwide distribution rights to RCTV’s telenovela and classic movie catalog, which includes over 7000 hours, for FAST and AVOD platforms. The company also acquired Insight TV’s catalog of 173 hours of content for North America, which is also available in Spanish.

"Destruction Decoded" is a popular science format that uses archival images and cutting edge CGI to explore some of the biggest, most-devastating disasters of our time, digging into the science behind each event to understand how and why these tragedies took place. This series was recently greenlit for a second season and has been sold in 20 territories.

"Tutankhamun Files" was produced by La Luna Productions for DMAX (formerly Discovery Max) in Spain. The limited series follows a team of Egyptologists, archaeologists, and historians on an adventure to unveil mysteries and answer more recent questions surrounding the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb 100 years ago in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings. BIG MEDIA now represents the series globally and also has the series available in both Spanish and English.

"Wardens" chronicles the lives of Conservation Officers in America, who protect public lands. "Dropped" follows Chris and Casey Keefer, survivalists who are dropped into harsh conditions with limited resources to test their skills at overcoming challenges to their bodies and minds. Both shows are productions of Outdoor Channel. "The Reinventors," an Insight TV production, features hosts Matt Hunter and Jeremy MacPherson as they discover and reconstruct inventions to see how ideas from the past hold up in the present world.
