BTF Awareness, a non-profit production company based in Miami, is now accepting early donations for their upcoming crowdfunding event, #GiveMiamiDay. The foundation creates audiovisual content aimed to heal what is broken in humanity while providing job opportunities for talented individuals in the city of Miami. “November is a crucial month for crowdfunding, both locally and internationally, and we are thrilled to announce our participation in Give Miami Day to bring our stories to screen very soon," Ivonne Vela, Managing Director at BTF Awareness, expressed her excitement for being selected to participate in #GiveMiamiDay said.
The organization's lineup of inspiring short films awaiting production includes "His Gaze," "Undrowned," "The Q Case" and "Hope | Resilience | Life." "These heartfelt dramedies feature strong female protagonists who overcome adversity and tackle physical, emotional, or mental disabilities," Francisco Cordero, president of BTF Awareness said. “Our films aim to empower individuals with disabilities to choose lives filled with happiness and dignity rather than feeling guilty or disregarded,"
Some additional benefits to consider when making a contribution is the donation's status as a tax-deductible since the organization is a 501©3 nonprofit. Donators can also receive special credits in the films. The contribution can also result in film festivals, premieres, industry events, and other prestigious awards ceremonies related to the films.“You can play a crucial role in making these stories a reality by donating to BTF Awareness today," Vela invited the community to participate said. "Be the hero in our stories! You can transcend and leave an everlasting legacy by making every film reach thousands of people not only in Miami but also around the world.”
Until the end of 2023, all donations will be matched 1:1. BTF Awareness is committed to producing content that transcends commercial trends and addresses issues that have remained veiled throughout history. In addition to audiovisual storytelling, they plan to screen their films and series in film forums and festivals, allowing audiences to discuss the films guided by experts in the field. This fosters constructive dialogues and expands awareness about inclusion, empathy, life, resilience, self-esteem, and diversity.
BTF Awareness plans to raise $85k on Give Miami Day to put on screens and forums two of its powerful short films, which will be directed by Sergio Lazarov, a veteran show-runner and producer of large-scale live shows for over 25 years. Both short films are set for production during Q1 2024, upon reaching the funding goal, and represent a testament to the foundation's commitment to impactful storytelling.
