Incredible Film has signed a new distribution deal with UK based film distribution company, Tull Stories, for the acclaimed Dutch-English feature "The North". Tull Stories will handle distribution of the film across the UK and Ireland.

Daniëlle Raaphorst, CEO of Incredible Film says “We are continuing to expand our slate of bold, distinctive stories that travel. From emotionally charged dramas to uplifting feelgood features and powerful stories like 'The North' – we’re showcasing not just variety in genre, but a consistent standard of high-end filmmaking and a slate designed to resonate across cultures and connect with audiences everywhere.”

Produced by Tuesday Studio while hiking almost 400 miles and directed by Bart Schrijver ("Human Nature"), "The North" takes place a decade after Chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pulido) became best friends, as they set out on a 600-kilometre hike through the Scottish Highlands. Following the West Highland way and The Cape Wrath Trail, they spend 30 days together in nature – hoping to rekindle their once-powerful friendship.

Jonny Tull, Founder of Tull Stories says "I’m so very proud for Tull Stories to have acquired 'The North'. Bart Schrijver’s brilliant film touches on important themes - the need for friendship, the pressures of life on our mental health - and it's all set against the majesty of the Highlands of Scotland. There are so many communities who will want to see this acclaimed film on the biggest screen possible across the UK and Ireland and we are thrilled to be the people who get to make that happen."

Following its theatrical release in the Netherlands earlier this year, the film was given the Dutch Golden Award after reaching over 100,000 admissions, and secured a number 9 position in the overall national box office - making it the first independent film to reach this level in the current rankings. In addition to the sale to Tull Stories in the UK and Ireland and Gusto in the Netherlands, "The North" has also been sold to distributor Lime Light Distribution for New Zealand and Australia, Lumière in Belgium and Polyfilm in Austria.

MIPCOM HIGHLIGHTS

In advance of MIPCOM, Incredible Film has also unveiled the new titles on its slate which includes the fun, feel-good romance "Men at Work: Back in Business" (95’) and new romantic drama "Wild Heart" (82’).

The 3rd instalment in the "Men at Work" series catches up with the “Construction Boys” team, several years after their steamy strip performances. When lively construction worker David discovers that the company he works for used to do rather different jobs, he sees an opportunity to rid himself of his financial woes. The Magic Mike-style female-gaze, feel-good film blends fantasy, humour and sensuality, and follows the first two hit films "Men at Work; Boys will be Boys" and "Men at Work in Miami", which was sold to Germany, Poland, Brazil, South Korea, Taiwan, CIS, USA. "Men at Work: Back in Business" will have its theatrical release in the Netherlands this on 16th October.

Also on the features slate is the romantic drama "Wild Heart", which premiered in the Netherlands this summer. As Laura and her husband Peter’s sex life fades, she takes refuge in vivid erotic fantasies instead. The family moves to the Flemish Ardennes, but what they had hoped would be a bright new start proves to be somewhat less romantic in reality.
