CALINOS ENTERS THE UK & IRELAND MARKET AFTER CLOSING A DEAL WITH YOULOOK.TV

Calinos Entertainment has partnered with UK AVOD service Youlook.tv, which has acquired 24Kitchen Turkey’s two successful cooking shows, “Sara's Istanbul Delights” and “Tom's Istanbul Delights." "As Calinos Entertainment, we are delighted to have entered the UK market with our first Youlook.tv sale,” Firat Gulgen, CEO of Calinos Entertainment, said. “We hope that as a result of the successful performance of our content, these sales will lead to many more. Thanks to our International Sales Director, Melis Idil, for making this sale possible.”

The agreement serves as Calinos’ first distribution agreement in the United Kingdom and Ireland. “I’m thrilled to be bringing these two outstanding shows to YouLook, and to being Calinos’ first partner in the UK and Ireland,” David Smyth, Founder and CEO of YouLook.tv said.

Youlook.tv appeals to a wide range of different audience groups with various titles in curated VOD channels ranging from cooking shows to sports, classic films and health to documentaries, and from music to history. “These series fit perfectly into our food and drink vertical YouLook Tasty but are of equal appeal to viewers of travel shows. The way these two series might engage audiences with different passions is exactly what we’re about at YouLook.”

“Sara’s Istanbul Delights” teaches its viewers about the culinary culture of Istanbul as they follow Finnish & American chef Sara La Fountain, who explores various traditional dishes and methods. “We are proud to close our first deal with Youlook.tv and very excited to be able to introduce our content offerings to UK & Ireland territories,” Melis Idil, International Sales Director at Calinos Entertainment, said.
