Cineflix Rights has announced a raft of international sales for “Irvine Welsh’s Crime,” the acclaimed author’s hit adaptation of his best-selling novel. Britbox/ITVX recently announced the second season of the drama, produced by Buccaneer Media and distributed internationally by Cineflix Rights.
Broadcasters and platforms acquiring “Irvine Welsh’s Crime” include CBC (Canada), RTE (Ireland), VRT (Belgium), POLAR+ and Canal+ Group (France), NPO (Netherlands), Hot (Israel), Yes (Israel), Magenta TV (Germany), and Corus (Canada – Quebec). The series has also been sold to Britbox USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
“Irvine Welsh’s Crime” (12x60’, Seasons 1-2, Buccaneer Media and Off Grid Film & TV for Britbox/ITVX) follows detective Inspector Ray Lennox, a man engaged in his own disturbing battle while undertaking serious crime investigations in a city on the edge of the abyss. The series also stars John Simm, Joanna Vanderham, Angela Griffin, Ken Stott, and Jamie Sives.
