Blue Ant Rights has unveiled two major international deals at MIPCOM 2025, underscoring the company’s growing influence in the global factual entertainment market. The distribution arm of Blue Ant Studios continues to broaden its slate of premium storytelling through strategic partnerships and wide-reaching sales.

The company confirmed a U.S. deal with The HISTORY Channel for “Engineering from Above” (8 x 60’), a visually striking factual entertainment series produced by Blue Ant Studios. The show invites audiences to discover some of the world’s most extraordinary engineering feats, using aerial perspectives and cutting-edge visuals to reveal the innovation behind them.

Announced in Cannes, the agreement builds on the success of “Mysteries from Above” (38 x 60’), further cementing Blue Ant Studios’ collaboration with A+E Global Media. The sale highlights the studio’s investment in creating long-running factual franchises that resonate with global audiences.

Mark Bishop, Co-President, Blue Ant Studios highlighted their factual slate: “Our factual entertainment franchises continue to strike a chord with viewers around the world. “Following the success of ‘Mysteries from Above’ on HISTORY Channel, ‘Engineering from Above’ strengthens our partnership and our commitment to exporting premium storytelling," noted.

In parallel, Blue Ant Rights announced strong international traction for “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy” (1 x 60’), produced by ITN Productions. The documentary, which premiered on Peacock in the U.S., interlaces Perry’s career highs with the troubling circumstances surrounding his final days, including the involvement of individuals “who should have known better.”

The one-hour special has been acquired by more than a dozen leading broadcasters and platforms, spanning over 50 territories across EMEA, Latin America, North America, and Asia Pacific. Among the buyers are NBCUniversal Global Networks Latin America, TV4 Sweden, Stan Australia, and Bravo New Zealand.

Recent successes also include titles such as “Taylor” (2 x 60’), a documentary series centered on Taylor Swift, “Judi Dench: Shakespeare, My Family, and Me”, “The Great Art Fraud”, and “Never Get Busted!”.
