ClaN Entertainment, a subsidiary of Nippon TV based in Tokyo, has announced an ambitious global expansion strategy, unveiling its first worldwide VTuber project "Izigenia" and extending its creator support business “C+” internationally through a new partnership with Sanrio. The announcement was made coinciding with ClaN’s debut at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, where it premiered the “Izigenia” audition animation.

Motoyuki Oi, President and CEO of ClaN Entertainment, positioned these initiatives as the company’s most significant move yet to connect Japanese virtual entertainment culture with audiences worldwide. The "Izigenia" project launches with an open international talent search, inviting creators globally to embody its new VTuber characters. ClaN emphasized that the project is designed with international fans in mind, combining Japanese cultural authenticity with broad accessibility by prioritizing English-language content while integrating Japanese and other languages.

“Just as manga, anime, and video games have won the hearts of fans around the globe, ClaN Entertainment seeks to share the magic of Japanese culture using virtual avatars that people can identify with personally no matter where they are or what language they speak,” the company stated.

To support talent in this project, ClaN offers extensive creative and financial backing. This includes covering all fundamental production costs such as professional character design, Live2D model creation, and necessary equipment like high-performance computers, microphones, and mobile devices tailored to each streamer’s needs. ClaN also provides individualized management services delivered by experienced VTuber producers, encompassing performance analytics, strategic content planning, and targeted marketing initiatives. Revenue distribution is structured according to each talent’s commitment level and performance metrics.

In parallel with "Izigenia," ClaN announced that it is expanding its creator support platform “C+” internationally. Previously successful as a multi-channel network in Japan, C+ now partners with Sanrio to deliver comprehensive support to creators around the world, reinforcing ClaN’s aim of fostering authentic, sustainable creator careers beyond national borders.

By entering the global VTuber arena and scaling its creator network abroad, ClaN Entertainment is making a clear play to leverage Japan’s creative leadership in virtual entertainment and to compete more directly with established international networks. The company underscored its dedication to creating “genuine and authentic” characters and supporting talents in developing “one-of-a-kind personalities” that resonate worldwide.

With its presence at Anime Expo and the global talent search underway, ClaN is signaling a long-term commitment to both exporting Japanese culture and adapting it for an increasingly diverse and connected audience.
