Cowshed Social recently appointed Matt Ford to the role of Managing Director. “It’s an absolute honour to have Matt Ford join our team," George Cowin, co-founder of Cowshed Social, said. Under his new role, Ford will be tasked with overseeing Cowshed’s upcoming rebrand and driving new business growth. Before accepting his role with the company, he contributed to BBC Studios as Vice President of Commercial of Digital, where he was responsible for all global revenue for their leading brands on social media including BBC Earth, "Top Gear," "Bluey," '"Hey Duggee" and "Dr Who."
Previous to this Matt set up and launched 4Studio for Channel 4 commercially, built UNILAD into a multi-million pound business and ran his own social consultancy working for Social Chain and Vice. Co-founded just three years ago by former UNILAD Head of Production George Cowin and Ryan O’Shea, Cowshed’s projects have included social video production and distribution for clients including KFC, Sony, FIFA, Channel 5 and NFL. The business is also currently developing a slate of original content for 'Gen Z' audiences aimed at broadcast partners, content creators and publishers.
Cowshed also creates original content for the Footasylum YouTube channel which has over 2 million subscribers. The channel’s success has been driven by a range of original digital formats including ‘Bad Bistro’, ‘Locked In’ and ‘Bad Barbers.' “I'm extremely excited to be joining Cowshed Social as Managing Director.
