DCD RIGHTS HAS SECURED GLOBAL SALES FOR ITS CRIME DRAMA TITLES

"My Life Is Murder," currently in production by Greenstone TV, has been pre-sold to TVNZ, Acorn TV and DCD Rights in South America, Africa and Australia. The crime series agreement follows the announcement for a PBS Distribution streaming window deal.

DCD Rights has secured sales to various networks and broadcasters for crime series “Frankie Drake Mysteries” and “My Life Is Murder.” “We’re delighted to report wide-reaching sales of two long running crime series, both with lively female protagonists, but set in very different eras,” Nicky Davies Williams, CEO, said. “They share intriguing and engaging storylines, which are proving to be winners with international audiences.” 

The deal follows a PBS Distribution streaming window announcement, debuting on Epic Drama and VIP Serial in Central & Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS, Seven Network in Australia, YLE in Finland, Sky TV Network in New Zealand, and HRT in Croatia. Other recently announced sales were secured with The Walt Disney Company in Balkans, Prime Time Media in Russia and CIS, Latvian Television, and CH.U in South Korea. Produced by Shaftesbury Productions in association with CBC and UKTV, the show has previously sold to LUK international for Spain and Portugal.  

Currently undergoing production in New Zealand, "My Life Is Murder," produced by Greenstone TV production for TVNZ, Acorn TV and DCD Rights in association with Network 10, has been pre-sold to UKTV for Alibi, Disney, The Balkans, Acorn TV for The Netherlands, Central America and South America and TV2 Denmark. Deals with NBCUniversal International Networks for Universal TV in Africa, and in New Zealand Africa and Asutralia, were announced.

“Frankie Drake Mysteries," set in Toronto, follows the city’s only female private detectives as they take on the cases theri colleagues don't want to be involved with.  “My Life Is Murder” hows a private investigator based in New Zealand. Based on real events, “The Tender Trap” shows a middle-aged woman from New Zealand as she ends up serving time in a Buenos Aires jail on a drug trafficking charge. “Jack Irish: Hell Bent” sees Jack’s long-suppressed trauma rears its ugly head as he discovers there’s more to Isabel Irish’s seemingly random murder by his former client Wayne Milovich, a mystery involving his trusted friend, homicide detective Barry Tregear.
