DIGITAL MEDIA RIGHTS BETS FOR KOREAN DRAMAS

The global distributor acquires the rights to several highly-rated Korean drama series from Channel A and AK Entertainment.

DMR (Digital Media Rights) has acquired the rights to several highly-rated Korean drama series from Channel A and AK Entertainment. Combined the series total in excess of 100-hours of programming.

The series will debut mid-September on AsianCrush, one of DMR’s seven owned-and-operated OTT channels.  Available across multiple streaming and linear platforms as well as on devices, AsianCrush offers the best of Asian entertainment, embracing a wide spectrum of content genres.

Specifically, DMR has secured the North American, New Zealand, and Australian rights to "K-POP Extreme Survival" and "Goodbye My Dear Wife" from Channel A.  From AK Entertainment the company secured the North American rights to "Boys Over Flowers", "Birdie Buddy", "Saimdang", "Memoir of Colors" and "Playful Kiss".
