"Dream's Gate" cast and crew attend the Berlinale Film Festival

Several members of "Dream's Gate" crew, including director Negin Ahmadi, the producer Elaheh Nobakht, the film editor Loghman Sokhanvar, the composer Hossein Mirzagholi, as well as color enhancement and laboratory executive Saman Majdvafayi, are present at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival.

The documentary feature film "Dream's Gate" directed by Negin Ahmadi, produced by Elaheh Nobakht and globally distributed by Visit Films is a joint production of Iran, France, and Norway, and is set to have its world premiere in the Generations competition category of the 73rd Berlinale, vying for a prize along with films from various countries.

Iranian filmmaker Negin Ahmadi travels to the war zone of Northern Syria to follow the lives of the women in the YPJ – an all-female Kurdish militia. Armed only with her camera, she captures the struggles, hopes, and joys of these incredible women, for whom the fight against ISIS is also their way to escape the restraints of a patriarchal society.

Presided by Mariette Rissenbeek with artistic management by Carlo Chatrian, the 72nd Berlinale will be held from 16-26 February, 2023, consisting of competition sections such as Main Competition, Generations competition, Forum, Shorts, Documentary, and the non-competition category including Panorama, Special Screening, and Classic Cinema Screening.
