Dynamic Television has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for Blue Ice Pictures’ highly anticipated new series, "Revival" (10x1), based on the best-selling graphic novel by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton. The original scripted series follows mysterious events that unfold in a small rural town when the dead return to life normal and unharmed. The television series stars Melanie Scrofano ("Wynonna Earp"), Romy Weltman ("Slasher"), David James Elliot ("JAG"), and Andy McQueen ("Mrs. Davis"). "Revival" is currently in production by Blue Ice Pictures and Hemmings Films, and set to premiere in the U.S. on SYFY in 2025.
"'Revival' has sold more than 1 million copies, building a huge fan base with a never-before-seen take on the genre," said Daniel March, Managing Partner for Dynamic Television. "The television adaptation will reach an even broader audience, expertly weaving layers of storytelling into an exceptional supernatural thriller concept."
"We are thrilled to bring 'Revival' to life alongside our talented showrunners Luke Boyce and Aaron B. Koontz, our partners at Hemmings Films, and the collaborative team at Dynamic Television," added Lance Samuels, President of Blue Ice Pictures.
Created by Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce, "Revival" is set in Wisconsin, when on one miraculous day, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the “revived” appear and act just like they once were. When local Officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.
