International distributor Eccho Rights has secured a first round of sales for action thriller "Safe Harbor" (8 x 60’), the latest series from Ozark co-creator, Mark Williams. The  series has been acquired by ITV in the UK, Virgin Media Television in Ireland and SBS in Australia.

Herbet L. Kloiber, CEO of Night Train Media and distributor Eccho Rights: “Safe Harbor" has generated a great deal of buzz in the market, with its truly international profile and A-list cast. Coupled with Mark’s unique talent in combining action, violence, heart and humour, buyers have been jumping at the chance to bring it to their audiences.”

Featuring an all-star international cast including Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders), Colm Meaney (Hell on Wheels), Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones), and Martijn Lakemeier (Maxima), the series will premiere on ITV’s streamer ITVX and Ireland’s Virgin Media Television in the spring of 2025, with SBS set to air later in the year.

Inspired by true events, “Safe Harbor" follows gifted hacker Tobias (Allen) and his ambitious best friend Marco (Lakemeier), intent on cracking into the tech billionaires club. Marco and Tobias are plucked from quiet obscurity and plunged headfirst into the chaos of organised crime when they cross paths with the Irish mob. Leading the family’s operations in Holland are Sloane (Murphy) and Farrell (Gleeson) who enlist Tobias’ and Marco’s services to hack into the security system of Rotterdam harbour -  Europe’s largest shipping port - to secure undetected deliveries of drug shipments.

Commissioned by Dutch streamer Videoland and Belgium’s Streamz, “Safe Harbor" is a co-production from Mediawan-owned Submarine in the Netherlands, Munich and London-based Night Train Media, and Zero Gravity Management, the Los Angeles production label of Williams who wrote, co-directed and executive produced the series. Williams wrote the 8-part script, based on an idea from Submarine co-founder and executive producer Femke Wolting. Herbert L. Kloiber and James Copp are executive producers for Night Train Media.
