Mipcom 2025, set to run October 13–16, returns as the world’s largest global market for entertainment content with an expanded scope, an influx of strategic brand participation, and a bold reimagining of how media companies, creators, and advertisers converge. More than 10,500 delegates from over 100 countries are expected to gather at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes for four days of networking, deal-making, high-profile screenings, and industry-defining conversations.

Lucy Smith, Director of Mipcom, stated: “The energy surrounding Mipcom this year reflects an industry no longer recovering, but actively reinventing itself. The convergence of content owners, global streamers, major brands, and the creator economy is making Cannes the must-attend forum for charting the future of global entertainment.”

A major development this year is the significant presence of YouTube, marking a first-of-its-kind activation at Mipcom. The platform will lead a headline keynote titled “YouTube and the Creator Economy,” with Lauren Glaubach, YouTube’s Global Head of TV/Film, set to take the stage alongside executives from Jellysmack, Webedia, and other creator-first media firms. The session will unpack how YouTube is scaling creator IP across platforms and territories, offering a powerful lens into the evolving relationship between traditional content models and creator-driven storytelling. This presence signals YouTube’s ambition to be a central player in the premium content ecosystem, beyond its UGC origins.

Sony Pictures Television Chairman Keith Le Goy will deliver a keynote as part of the 'C-Suite Conversations' series in partnership with Variety. Le Goy, who oversees a vast global operation including TV and home entertainment distribution, game shows, and networks across key territories, will discuss the company’s international production and distribution strategy amid a shifting content economy. Immediately following his talk, Sony will present the world premiere of its new dramedy “The Miniature Wife,” starring Matthew Macfadyen, O-T Fagbenle, and Sian Clifford. The screening will be accompanied by a Q&A with the cast.

Mattel will also make its keynote debut, with President and COO Richard Dickson and Chief Franchise Officer Josh Silverman appearing in conversation to unveil the company’s expanded content roadmap. Building on the global phenomenon of "Barbie," Mattel will share how it is leveraging its toy and franchise IP across scripted, unscripted, and animated formats to deepen brand engagement and drive long-term value.

Paramount Global Content Distribution will mark its presence with the world premiere of “Boston Blue." Also premiering is ZDF Studios’ “Ku’damm 77,” the next chapter in its iconic drama franchise chronicling the evolution of a Berlin family through the cultural upheavals of the 20th century.

The spotlight on innovation continues with the launch of the Brand Storytelling Marketplace, a new initiative connecting major advertisers, media agencies, and producers to collaborate on IP development, co-productions, and branded content ventures. Participating brands include Procter & Gamble, The Lego Group, LVMH, and Publicis Groupe, among others. The accompanying Brand Storytelling Summit on October 14 will feature speakers from Mattel, McCann Worldgroup, TikTok, LG Ad Solutions, and The Story Lab, exploring how brands are becoming content studios in their own right.

A dedicated Creator Economy Summit will also take place on October 14, examining how talent, creators, and platforms are driving new content models. Confirmed participants include Little Dot Studios, Jellysmack, Webedia, and leaders from Meta and TikTok. The summit is expected to unpack how creator-led formats are scaling into long-form and premium verticals.

Further headline keynotes include Paramount's international content executives Pam Kaufman, President and CEO of International Markets, Global Consumer Products & Experiences, and Catherine Powell, President of Paramount+ International. The duo will discuss global franchise strategies, platform scaling, and how Paramount is localizing premium content to fuel subscriber growth.

Other programming highlights include advanced sessions on AI in content creation, the future of FAST channels, and new formats emerging at the intersection of commerce and storytelling. Alongside, the world premiere showcase continues to expand as the event cements its role as a launchpad for top-tier international series.

As content strategies become increasingly multidimensional—blending creativity, technology, and commerce—Mipcom 2025 positions itself as the definitive marketplace where the next wave of global content innovation begins.
