Eccho Rights has closed a number of deals for British crime drama "Granite Harbour" which recently aired its second season on BBC Scotland, BBC One and iPlayer. BBC Studios have licensed "Granite Harbour" for BBC First in the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland, while TV2 Denmark and TV2 Hungary have both picked up the Aberdeen-set crime caper.

BritBox International in the US and Canada, and Acorn TV in Australia and New Zealand, have previously acquired the series, with their deals extending to both seasons.

“We are delighted to see international appetite for 'Granite Harbour' continues to grow. The series represents what global audiences love about British drama; a thrilling crime story underpinned by a strong sense of humour and warmth, says Lucy Roberts, Director of Sales, Nordics and English speaking world.

The second season of "Granite Harbour" sees the return of DC Davis Lindo (Romario Simpson) and his colleagues to familiar surroundings in Aberdeen, but with even higher stakes as a new crime wave sweeps the city. Meanwhile Lindo’s personal journey to acceptance in Aberdeen and among his colleagues is dealt a new blow when a visitor from home arrives. Dawn Steele (Shetland), Hanna Donaldson (Annika) and Bhav Joshi (The Diplomat) all return for season two.

Season two of "Granite Harbour" scored impressive ratings for BBC Scotland, with the premiere increasing on the broadcaster’s average share by more than 175%, as well as receiving plaudits from a string of television critics and publications that nominated the series as a must-watch title for the week. The series is produced by LA Productions, in association with Dopamine and Eccho Rights.
