“As I Am"
Electric Entertainment has picked up U.S. distribution right to “As I Am,” the directorial debut from emerging writer/director Guy Davies. The film was brought into Electric Entertainment by Sonia Mehandjiyska, Head of International Distribution and the deal was negotiated by Ben Kim, VP, Development and Acquisitions at Electric Entertainment.
A coming of age story set in the rolling hills of the English countryside, the film stars Harry Lloyd (“The Theory of Everything,” “Game of Thrones”), James Faulkner (“Game of Thrones,”“Bridget Jones’s Diary”) and emerging newcomer Joshua Glenister (“Indulgence”).

“As I Am” is inspired by Davies’ life experience and is produced by Toby Cook and Matthew Cook, both founders of Fablemaze Production Company and Guy Davies. Set in his home-town of Stroud, UK, the film paints a picture of small-town adolescence.The story follows Kai (Joshua Glenister), an aspiring writer, and his friends during the last week of their senior year in high school.
“As I Am” won the Director’s Choice Award at Cinema at the Bayou Film Festival, Best Feature, Best Director and Best Actor at the International Film Festival of Wales, Best Feature at The London Independent Film Festival, and Best Global Cinema Award and Litecoin Filmmaker’s Choice Award at The San Diego Film Festival.
