FANTAWILD'S “BOONIE BEARS” FRANCHISE PREMIERED IN FRANCE IN JULY

Fantawild, one of the leading animation companies from China, and Factoris have joined forces to make the movies of the “Boonie Bears” franchise available to audiences alongside French speaking Europe.

Fantawild and Factoris have joined forces to make the movies of the “Boonie Bears” franchise available to audiences alongside French speaking Europe. Their most recent film, “Boonie Bears: Blast into the Past,” premiered on iTunes, Amazon and Fnac in July. Later this summer, the film will be available on Canal VOD, Orange and main VOD platforms in France.

This is the beginning of a pattern that will see other “Boonie Bears” films in the market in 2020. In September, the audience will see the next “Boonie Bears” movie, “The Big Shrink,” followed by two more “Boonie Bears” films: “Fantastica” and “The Big Top Secret”. “Factoris Film is always looking for a new great animation that we can bring to the European market. We are excited to work with the ‘Boonie Bears’ brand as they proved themselves to be a strong and successful franchise on many territories. Now we have a great chance to premiere this animation to our young audience in UK and France,”  said Alexandre Simard, CEO of Factoris Films.

“I have had a strong relationship with Factoris films in several of my previous positions in the market. I trust the company to maximize our exposure within every corner of the French territories,"  added Daniel Bort, Head of International Film Distribution at Fantawild.

In July, “Boonie Bears: The Wild Life” has also been premiered in UK and Northern Islands on Sky TV, while the rest 5 “Boonie Bears” movies are available on VOD platforms on the territory. Furthermore, in addition to the films, the youngest audience in France will also enjoy little bears adventures with the preschool series “Boonie Cubs” being premiered on Free TV via Pichoun Media, as well as YouTube and Facebook.

Factoris also secured the rights for the seventh instalment on the series “Boonie Bears: The Wild Life”. Its release has been postponed since the production company has the movie in holdback prior to its imminent Chinese market release. However, quite a few territories have already been pre-sold and looking forward to a domestic release in order to process with their campaigns locally. Fantawild Animation is one of the leading animation companies from China, and the programs of its main brand ‘Boonie Bears’ have been distributed to over 100 countries all over the world. Every year, Fantawild releases one feature film that goes theatrically, supporting the "Boonie Bears" brand expansion with TV series and merchandising as well.
