"Murder in mind"
FilmRise, a Radial Entertainment company, has announced partnerships for two new true-crime co-productions, "Murder in Mind" and "Pushed to Death." FilmRise will co-produce "Murder in Mind" alongside CBS AMC Networks UK Channels Partnership and Blue Ant Studios, produced by Back 2 Back Productions. "Pushed to Death" will be produced by Coming Up Roses with co-production partners FilmRise, CBS AMC Networks Channels Partnership and All3Media International.
FilmRise will launch the series "Pushed to Death" in North America, while UK partner CBS AMC Networks Channels Partnership will premiere the same series titled "Fatal Fall: Murder or Accident." FilmRise will have exclusive North American rights in all media for both "Murder in Mind" and "Pushed to Death." The announcement was made today by Jonitha Keymoore, SVP of Content Acquisitions of Radial Entertainment.
Keymoore gave a thorough description of both titles: "FilmRise has a strong track record of delivering true crime that resonates with North American audiences. Viewers expect fresh angles into the genre, and both series deliver. 'Murder in Mind' examines the psychology behind killers, while 'Pushed to Death' uncovers a shocking pattern of fatal falls. Together they reinforce our commitment to distinctive storytelling and to growing the FilmRise True Crime brand across platforms. Much like our other popular series 'Killers: Caught on Camera' and 'Murdered at First Sight,' we like to develop shows that take a different angle from what's already out there, keeping audiences engaged. 'Murder in Mind' dives into the psychology of what might make a 'murderer,' while 'Pushed to Death' shines a light on a lesser-explored type of crime. We're confident both series will captivate and resonate with viewers," noted.
Meanwhile, Sam Rowden, VP, Content Team, AMC Networks International UK, praised the titles: "'Fatal Fall: Murder or Accident' is a gripping and emotionally charged series that explores the intriguing mysteries behind these tragic deaths. We're thrilled to co-produce with FilmRise and collaborate with Coming Up Roses and All3Media International to bring this powerful narrative to UK audiences. It's a strong addition to our TRUE CRIME channel slate and will also enhance our wider content offering beyond linear." stated.
Also, Oliver Wright, Creative Director for Coming Up Roses commended the teams: "Working with the fantastic teams at both the CBS AMC Networks UK Channels Partnership and FilmRise on this dynamic series has been a complete joy. Beautifully and sensitively produced, with access to key voices, and featuring extraordinary archive, every episode of this series gets under your skin. I hope that viewers around the world will be enthralled by these powerful tales," highlighted.
Finally, Rachel Job, SVP Unscripted Content at All3Media International, focused on how they will resonate with audiences: "We are delighted to be working with the brilliant team at Coming Up Roses and to partner with AMC and FilmRise on this true crime series. With its gripping central question — was it a fall or a push — the show delivers an incredible hook through which to explore compelling, edge-of-your-seat true crime stories that will resonate with audiences worldwide," added.
"Murder in Mind" (10 x 60): A new true-crime series that examines the psychological drivers that push everyday people to kill. Each episode examines one case through the voices of investigators, friends, and family of the perpetrator as they reveal the experiences and choices that shaped the path to murder. The series moves beyond the facts of the crime, using firsthand testimony and expert insight to uncover motive and state of mind. This deal was negotiated by Katie Carroll (Senior Manager, Co-Productions at Radial) with Ben Barrett (Global Head of Content Financing & Partnerships, Unscripted at Blue Ant Media).
Meanwhile, "Pushed to Death" (10 x 60): A shocking series built on a chilling premise: each episode examines a case where a victim was seemingly pushed to their death — from balconies and rooftops to cliffs, staircases, and bridges. Beyond the act itself, the series explores the interpersonal tensions and psychological buildup that led to these sudden and violent outcomes, often at the hands of someone they knew and loved, and the investigations that followed. Through expert analysis and testimony from those closest to the victims, "Pushed to Death" reveals how ordinary moments can turn deadly in an instant, and asks the ultimate questions: who can you truly trust, what really happened, and why. All3Media International will be distributing the title internationally under the UK title.
