Fox Entertainment Studios announces three new hires

Fox Entertainment Studios announced the appointment of Ted Gold, Julie Schwachenwald and Khoby Rowe to lead the studio’s scripted development and production. The trio will be based in Los Angeles, Deadline reported.

In detail, Gold and Schwachenwald will serve as Senior Vice President of Development and Senior Vice President and Head of Scripted Production, respectively. The pair will be responsible for overseeing all program development and production of series owned and produce under the Fox Entertainment Studios banner. They will both report to Fox Entertainment Scripted Programing President, Michael Thorn.

Meanwhile, Rowe, who will report to Gold, has been named Vice President of Development. She was promoted from VP Animation for Fox Entertainment, where she helped develop adult animations “Krapopolis” and “Grimsburg” via Fox’s deal with Dan Harmon. Her place in animation has been taken by Dave Jargowsky, who joined Fox around a year ago.

Gold has kicked off his second spell with Fox, having overseen the network’s drama slate and developed “Prison Break” and “Bones” during his time as Senior Vice President, Series Development around two decades ago. Most recently, he worked for Paramount Channel, helping develop “Yellowstone” and “Waco.” Meanwhile, Schwachenwald was formerly Senior Vice President of Physical Production at Paramount Television Studios, where she oversaw shows in development and production including “Fatal Attraction” for Paramount+ and “Cross” for Prime Video.
