Fox Entertainment has renewed the drama, "Cleaning Lady" for a second season. It is currently available on Disney streamer, Hulu, as well as Fox in the US.“This heart-pounding, emotionally driven story has captivated audiences across all platforms with its empowering, suspenseful narrative about an undocumented worker forced to navigate the criminal underworld to save her ailing son’s life,” said Michael Thorn, President of Fox Entertainment.
Based on the Argentinian format, "La Chica Que Limpia," which was also remade in Mexico, the title, produced in partnership with Warner Bros. Television. Both debuting platforms are offering several similar titles, and formed a collaboration for the remake of the UK drama "This Country," which launched in the US as "Welcome To Flatch."
The story, developed by executive producer Miranda Kwok and executive produced by showrunner Melissa Carter, tracks the life of a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who is looking after her ill child in Las Vegas. When the system fails and pushes her into hiding, she refuses to be marginalized and instead, through an unexpected run-in with a lieutenant of a powerful crime syndicate, becomes a cleaning lady for them.
