Fremantle has sold "Kingdom of Dreams" to HBO Max and Crave

The deals for the four-part, high-end fashion series were brokered by Jamie Lynn, EVP Co-Production & Distribution, EMEA and Michela DiMondo, EVP of Distribution & Sales, Canada at Fremantle. The title will also launch on Sky Documentaries in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Fremantle has secured distribution deals with HBO Max in Europe, Latin America and Asia, as well as Crave in Canada. “We are thrilled that HBO and Crave have come on board, and   we can’t wait to share Kingdom of Dreams with audiences all over the world," Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, Misfits Entertainment, creators and executive producers of Kingdom of Dreams, said. "Kingdom of Dreams" is created by London-based Misfits Entertainment, whose credits include high-end feature documentaries such as the BAFTA-nominated McQueen, and the Emmy-winning Netflix documentary "Rising Phoenix." The series, which is produced in collaboration with Fremantle will harness rare library material, never-before-seen personal archives, powerful visuals and story-driven interviews to bring this Golden Age to electrifying life on the screen. Kingdom of Dreams, is a 4x60’ thrilling archive-led story set in the world of fashion. Produced by award-winning production company, Misfits Entertainment, in collaboration with Fremantle, the Sky Original series will launch in 2022.

The project covers the fashion world spanning three decades - from the early-1990s to the 2010s. It is a Golden Age, a time when the forces of ground-breaking creativity and disruptive business converge and collide. As fashion explodes out of the traditional, elite kingdoms of haute couture and style - Paris, Milan, London and New York - to become a truly global phenomenon. Unfolding over four episodes, the series will chart a high-stakes story packed with the seductive beauty and dramatic intrigue behind the most iconic fashion moments and shows of the era.
