Fremantle confirmed the date for Euston Films and British writer Ryan J. Brown's comedy horror series debut, "Wreck" in the US to be 1st March 2023. The news follows the company's distribution deal with Hulu. "'Wreck' is a fast-paced and fun coming-of-age story that combines clever humour and horror with questions about who we really are," Jens Richter, CEO International, Fremantle said. "Hulu is the perfect partner to bring this genre-bending comedy thriller from our talented team at Euston Films to a U.S audience and we could not be more delighted to have them onboard”.

Brokered by Shirley Bowers, SVP of Distribution at Fremantle US, the Hulu deal follows a slew of other key broadcasters boarding the title including Amazon Freevee (Germany, Austria), ABC (Australia) and AMC Networks International - Latin America. A second season commission for the series has already been announced. The six-part series, produced by Euston Films, part of Fremantle, with support from Northern Ireland Screen, premiered at international horror festival Fright Fest in August last year before airing on BBC3 in the UK in October 2022. The title is executively produced by Noemi Spanos for Euston Films and Tommy Bulfin for the BBC. Chris Baugh (Boys from County Hell) directs and executive produces all six episodes.

Joining The Sacramentum are Oscar Kennedy as Jamie, Thaddea Graham as Vivian, Jack Rowan as Danny, Harriet Webb as Karen, Jodie Tyack as Pippa, with new faces Louis Boyer as Sam, Anthony Rickman as Olly, Amber Grappy as Lauren, Diego Andres as Jerome, Peter Claffey as Cormac, Miya Ocego as Rosie, Warren James Dunning as Beaker, Ramanique Ahluwalia as Lily and Alice Nokes as Sophia.

The thriller takes place aboard a cruise shit, following 19-year-old new recruit, Jamie, as he infiltrates the 1000 strong crew in a desperate race to find his missing sister. She was working aboard the same vessel on a previous tour and vanished mid charter. Jamie is introduced to the cruise life and gets a crash course on the tribes within the staff. As he searches for clues as a detective would, he uncovers a sinister truth.
