The behind-the-scenes of the luxury world in 1990s Brazil and the fashion industry reveal a reality that’s not quite as glamorous as it seems. Titled "D-Lux", the series is a co-production between Globoplay and Gaumont, the Paris-based audiovisual production group known for global hits like "Narcos" and "Lupin". The show is inspired by the trajectory of the iconic multi-brand fashion store Daslu, which brought international fashion sophistication to Brazil.
The series is written by Giuliano Cedroni, Elena Soarez, Mariana Trench Bastos, and Pedro Perazzo. Produced by Conspiração and developed by Ventre Studios, D-Lux dives into the prêt-à-porter fashion world and is loosely based on the real-life story of businesswoman Eliana Tranchesi and the transformation of Daslu into a symbol of luxury in the Brazilian fashion market.
Daslu began as a small boutique in São Paulo and grew into a destination for international luxury brands in the country, until it became embroiled in a major tax evasion scandal that drew significant media attention at the time. Officially announced during Content Americas 2025, the series marks the first collaboration between Globoplay and Gaumont.
