The second season of "Violet like the sea", produced by Lux Vide, featuring Francesca Chillemi and Can Yaman, made a grat debut on the Italian network Mediaset. The first episode of the series won the favour of a vast audience, registering almost 4 million viewers (3,861,000) on Canale 5 and Mediaset Infinity. On Canale 5, in particular, the TV series achieved 2,899,000 viewers and a share of 16.70%. The first three episodes on Mediaset Infinity reached more than 4 million hours of viewing in just over a week.

“Violet Like the Sea” is a TV series freely adapted from Simona Tanzini’s novel Conosci l’estate – with Season One, broadcast in prime time on Canale 5, proving to be one of the greatest television successes of 2022. The series is a procedural we could define as light crime, mixing comic elements with vertical police investigations.

In season two we will see renew itself and welcome new characters, including the publisher Leonardo Piazza, who will prove to be almost a mentor to Viola, and the director Vita Stabili, with whom she will instead have a conflictual relationship. In addition, there will be some new journalists, as well as her reliable, irreplaceable sidekick, Tamara. But the new developments don’t end there, because Viola will no longer have to deal with crime reporting as such: her new calling will be to create a podcast that starts from the news to reveal the human stories that lie behind it.

To do that, she will inevitably collaborate again with Francesco Demir, a charming police inspector whose intuition always proves fundamental in solving every case they find themselves facing together – an intuition which, however, in Season One also relied heavily on Viola’s “special” ability… a “superpower” that allows her to “see” the emotions of others through what is called synesthesia.
