Barcelona's Jambika Docs has acquired the worldwide sales rights for "Boutique: To Preserve and Collect", a documentary directed by Ry Levey. The agreement was reached during the European Film Market in Berlin, ahead of its scheduled U.S. premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival in San José, California, on March 15, 2025.

This documentary delves into the evolution of physical media and the surge of boutique collector labels across the globe, shedding light on their significance in film restoration, preservation, and the amplification of underrepresented voices in the industry. "Boutique: To Preserve and Collect" is a collaborative effort directed by Ry Levey and produced by RBL Films (Canada) in partnership with Cheryl Staurulakis of Orama Filmworks (USA). The documentary’s executive producers include Cheryl Staurulakis (Orama Filmworks), Brett and Jason Butler from Substance Productions (Canada), and Cassandra and Kris Levey.

“There’s a deep nostalgia in 'Boutique: To Preserve and Collect' that will undoubtedly strike a chord with audiences,” said Juan Solera, Head of Acquisitions and Sales at Jambika Docs. “Beyond that, the film offers an intriguing insight into the effort behind rescuing and maintaining these cinematic treasures in today’s market.”

Jambika Docs plans to showcase the documentary at a variety of international film festivals and industry events, including MIP London, AIDC Melbourne, CPH:DOX, Docs Barcelona, Sheffield Doc Fest, and Sunnyside of the Doc.
