Keith Le Goy has been appointed chairman of Sony Pictures Television, expanding his responsibilities to oversee all domestic and international production, including game shows and the Game Show Network (GSN). A Sony veteran since 1999, Le Goy will continue to report to SPE president and CEO Ravi Ahuja, who succeeded former chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra earlier this year.

Previously, Le Goy served as president of distribution at Sony Pictures Television, where he managed the studio’s combined television and home entertainment distribution, its marketing division, and cable networks across Latin America and Europe.

“Keith has a remarkable track record at SPE, both in distribution and the businesses he has led. He is strategic, growth-oriented, and has a razor-sharp mind,” Ahuja stated. “Just as importantly, as a close partner of mine in our TV business, I have seen firsthand that he is a fantastic colleague. I look forward to working with him in this new capacity.”

Le Goy has played a pivotal role in developing new distribution models, securing notable deals for Sony properties like “Seinfeld” and striking key agreements with Netflix and Disney. Under his leadership, SPE’s digital home entertainment division achieved its highest-ever global revenue in 2024, and its subsidiary Crunchyroll surpassed 15 million paying subscribers across more than 200 territories.

“It is a privilege to take the helm of the television group at this transformative time in the industry,” Le Goy commented. “Thanks to Ravi and our incredible teams, SPT is well positioned to lead and build upon our rich legacy in this evolving and dynamic marketplace, and I am invigorated by the opportunities ahead.”

Le Goy’s career at Sony began in 1999. Before that, he was VP of sales for Europe at the Walt Disney Company. In 2018, reports surfaced that Le Goy was sued for sexual harassment in 2014 by a former assistant, a lawsuit that was settled two years later.

Sony Pictures Television’s current programming lineup includes “Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy!,” “The Boys,” “Cobra Kai,” “The Last of Us,” “S.W.A.T.,” “Outlander,” “For All Mankind,” “Shark Tank,” “90-Day Fiancé,” “Twisted Metal,” “The Night Agent,” and “Dark Matter,” among other titles.
