OGM Universe has officially launched its newest international drama title, “Deep in Love” (“Taşacak Bu Deniz”), produced by OGM Pictures in collaboration with TRT 1. Positioned as a modern mythological epic, the series is already emerging as one of the most-watched Turkish dramas of the season, achieving a record 16.4 million digital views from its first two episodes alone.
Created by acclaimed screenwriters Ayşe Ferda Eryılmaz and Nehir Erdem, and directed by Çağrı Bayrak, the series brings together leading Turkish talents Ulaş Tuna Astepe, Deniz Baysal, Burak Yörük, and Ava Z. Yaman. With its sweeping visuals and poetic storytelling, “Deep in Love” aims to redefine epic romance for a new generation of global viewers.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Black Sea, the story centers on Adil Koçari and Esme Furtuna, heirs to rival villages bound by centuries of hatred. Their love is forbidden and doomed from the start, echoing a local legend in which a mountain and sea once fell in love, only to be torn apart by betrayal and divine punishment. This ancient feud reignites when Adil, now a powerful livestock tycoon, and Esme, a widowed village leader, cross paths again — setting into motion a drama of vengeance, rediscovery, and buried secrets.
The narrative deepens when Eleni Miryano, a young doctor from Greece, saves Adil’s life after he is wounded by Esme. Neither of them knows that Eleni is the daughter they believed lost, stolen and raised abroad after deception shattered their past. As Eleni unknowingly re-enters the conflict between the Koçari and Furtuna families, she may be the key to breaking the ancient curse — or reigniting the generational war.
