KO Distribution team
KO Distribution closed an agreement with Wild Bunch TV for the worldwide distribution of the dramatic series, "How To Survive in the Wild", a deal made possible thanks to a collaboration with Barbara Vallant and her agency, Aroma TV. The psychological thriller produced by KOTV and broadcast on Séries Plus is a series of six episodes of 60 minutes each.
“We are thrilled to have the support of the talented team at Wild Bunch TV to take 'How to Survive in the Wild' to the international market. I have no doubt that this daring and unique production will excite new audiences worldwide,” remarked Mia Desroches, Vice-president of international distribution at KO Distribution.
Adapted from a popular Jean-Philippe Baril Guérard novel, "How to Survive in the Wild" is the story of Kevin Bédard, a brilliant and ambitious millennial. He and two friends found a start-up that develops an application allowing people to speak to dead family members and friends thanks to their digital remains. The road to success is far from restful and the company’s rapid expansion leads to some unfortunate consequences that cause Kevin to make some questionable ethical choices. The series is co-written and directed by Christian Laurence.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with KO Distribution on such an ambitious project, based on a very successful IP. We are convinced it will resonate with the international audience across generations and cultures. We can’t wait for broadcasters to experience the series’ intensity and edginess!” noted Gregory Strouk, Deputy Director Wild Bunch TV.
