The production companies Ellipse Animation and Belvision and distributor Mediatoon announced a new round of presales deals for the upcoming original production "Belfort & Lupin" (fka Versailles Unleashed) (26 x 22’). The animated show targets kids audiences, and it is expected to hit the screens in the first semester of 2025. SWR (Germany), VRT (Belgium), RTS (Switzerland), and MTVA (Hungary) come together as international partners, joining forces with France Télévisions (France), Radio Canada (Canada), and RTBF (Belgium).

Produced by Ellipse Animation and Belvision, "Belfort & Lupin" follows the hilarious adventures of a dog and a wolf duo and their exotic animal friends at a 17th-century Royal Court. Created by T.J Stehly, scriptwriter for several animated shows ("Calamero," "Barbapapa"), the show reunites the talents of director Philippe Vidal ("Garfield Show"), scriptwriter Florence Marchal ("Molang"), and art director Justine Cunha ("Through Lya’s Eyes").
As one of Ellipse Animation's first original productions, "Belfort & Lupin" represents a major milestone for the company. Utilizing a 3D rendered 2D animation technique, the series pledges to offer dynamic and vivid visuals, upholding the standards of Ellipse's top-tier production, renowned for its animation work on shows like "The Smurfs."
