Electric Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based production and distribution company, has made significant strides in international markets ahead of MIPCOM 2024. The company has closed multiple deals across various territories for its latest original productions, continuing to expand its global footprint.

The company announced it has closed multi-territory deals for its latest original production, "The Librarians: The Next Chapter." The agreements include NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-to-Consumer (NBCUIN & DTC) securing pay TV rights for France, Iberia, Poland, and several Balkan countries, as well as Africa.

Bell Media acquired the rights for Canada, while Nova Broadcasting Group gained free TV rights for Bulgaria. This spinoff of "The Librarians" features a captivating story about a time-traveling librarian who unleashes magic across the continent, starring Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Olivia Morris, and Bluey Robinson. Electric Entertainment's Sonia Mehandjiyska expressed excitement over the show's international appeal, noting, ‘We’re certain audiences everywhere will enjoy escaping into this fantastic spinoff.’

On the other hand, Electric Entertainment also secured new sales for "The Ark," with deals in German-speaking Europe and Bulgaria for seasons 1 and 2. Palatin Media acquired SVOD and Fast rights for the German-speaking territories, while Nova Broadcasting Group gained free TV rights for Bulgaria. "The Ark" explores a futuristic narrative of human survival in space, resonating with global audiences.

Sonia Mehandjiyska, Head of International Distribution for Electric Entertainment.commented the deals: "Human survival is a universal theme that transcends languages and cultures, and sci-fi is an ideal genre to convey it.’ Both seasons consist of 12 episodes each, continuing to expand the series' international presence," stated.
