MIPTV 2024: Federation to distribute Finnish comedy series “Money Shot”

The company will launch the series in partnership with Nordisk Film Distribution during Canneseries.

Federation Studios has recently secured the international rights to “Money Shot” (8 X 26′), a Finnish comedy series produced by Solar Republic for Elisa ViihdeThe series is part of the competition of Canneseries, in the short-form category. This new edition of the international festival will take place in Cannes from April 5-10, at the same time as MIPTV, where Federation will launch the series in partnership with Nordisk Film Distribution.

A witty and sharp comedy series, “Money Shot” tells the story of washed-up porn actress Sari, 42, who gets fired from her last role and has to find a new way to make a living. She teams up with Linnea, 22, an aspiring director who struggles to get into film school. Together they start a company that produces feminist, erotic films and begin a journey to fulfill women’s desires – and their own. Created by Jemina Jokisalo ("Pillowtalk"), written by Jemina Jokisalo and Daniela Hakulinen (writer of Sundance winner "Girl Picture"), “Money Shot” is directed by Teemu Niukkanen ("Fucking Bunnies", "Are you Hungry"), produced by Johanna Tarvainen and Samuli Norhomaa. Starring iconic scandi actress Pihla Viitala ("Hansel and Gretel", "Deadwind...") and Reetta Ylä-Rautio ("Like Mother, Like Daughter") in the lead roles.
