Objective Media Group Scotland and Maverick Television UK have formed 141 Productions, which will focus on factual and factual entertainment programming. Sitting within OMG, the new label will be run by joint Creative Directors Toby Stevens, OMG’s Head of Scotland, and Maverick UK’s Creative Director Hannah Brownhill. 141, based in Glasgow with a London office, will build on Brownhill’s current slate while expanding Stevens’ existing Scotland-based output, capitalizing on the pair’s collective experience in the industry. Maverick Television will continue to be run from Los Angeles by CEO Simon Knight. He moved to the US in April to oversee the development and production of series for the American market, following the departure of John Hesling, Maverick’s US President, in February.

The label will grow a nation’s team, nurture its talent pool across development and production, and bolster opportunities for emerging talent based in Scotland. “As nations production continues to grow, Hannah and I will ensure 141 plays its part in strengthening Scotland’s contribution, backed by our combined proven track record of delivering excellent formats,” Stevens said.

“With a strong slate to build on, Toby and I look forward to growing 141 into a creative and inclusive hub that nurtures local talent and uses those insights to develop ideas that reflect viewers’ lives and entertain audiences across the nations,” Brownhill added.

Layla Smith, CEO of Objective Media Group, said: “We are delighted for Hannah to join forces with Toby to create 141 Productions; it is an exciting and important next step in supercharging OMG’s existing nations operation.”

OMG Scotland productions include the BAFTA and RTS award-winning “It Was Alright in the…” for Channel 4; BAFTA award-winning “Last Commanders” for CBBC, and the recent critical success “Meet You at the Hippos” for BBC Scotland. Co-produced content developed by the more comprehensive OMG labels includes “Objective Fiction’s The Larkins,” “Year of the Rabbit,” “Feel Good,” “Eric,” “Ernie & Me,” and Triple Brew Media’s “The Answer Trap.”

Maverick’s critically acclaimed “Embarrassing Bodies” relaunched on E4 in May with a multichannel slot-winning performance, while “10 Years Younger in 10 Days” returned to Channel 5 in July, ranking as the top show for the channel on its premiere. Alongside the long-running CBBC series “Operation Ouch!” is a new documentary series commission for C4, a ground-breaking feature doc using AI voice replicating technology, and a pilot for the BBC.
