"Marry Me Now"
OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has commissioned Armoza Formats’ docu-reality series "Marry Me Now", produced by ITV Entertainment. The eight-episode first season of the adaptation in the US is set to premiere on Saturday, March 19, joining OWN’s popular Saturday night unscripted lineup.
This commission marks the 7th territory to adapt Armoza’s hit format. The format has previously traveled to France, Poland, Russia, Germany, the 46 countries of sub-Saharan Africa and aired three hit seasons on South Africa’s VIA TV.
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “We are always asked to bring content that combines high stakes with strong human emotions, and ‘Marry Me Now’ does just that, along with highlighting a shift of power as women bring their own take to the often-traditional approach to marriage proposals. We are excited by the format’s continued success around the world, with the new adaptation from our partners at OWN and ITV Entertainment sure to be a new fan favorite.”
The series is executive produced by Jordana Hochman, Ted Iredell, Caroline Self, Avi Armoza, Odelia Yakir, Zipi Rozenblum and Nehama Cohen and will be hosted by relationship coach, love guru and author, Rebecca Lynn Pope, who will guide real-life women ready to take the reins in planning their weddings and proposing to their significant others, all in the hopes of marriage. The series will also stream the same day on Discovery+.
The US version of Marry Me Now will be distributed by ITV Studios, while the format is available through Armoza Formats.
