Pupkin has obtained a majority stake in WBM. The company, founded by writer-director Willem Bosch in 2019, focuses on the concept and development of films and series in collaboration with talented creators. The move will lead the producer to contribute writing, directing, and producing for the company exclusively. Pupkin pledges a huge investment in developing new stories by welcoming Willem. “I’ve had a long and pleasant working relationship with Willem," Pieter Kuijpers, founder and producer of Pupkin, said. "He’s a gifted writer, director, and creative producer. As founder of WBM, He shares this knowledge and experience with up-and-coming talent. Willem and I share the same creative ambition: making groundbreaking series and films with international appeal.”

Willem Bosch is among the most requested screenwriter in the Netherlands, known for series like "Penoza, Baantjer: The Beginning, and High Flyers." His directional project, "The Afterlife" has been presented at various festivals and was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Atlanta Film Festival. He is currently working on "The Spectacular."“With Willem as part of our creative team, we will have an even better way of realizing our ambitions while simultaneously offering a new generation of talent access to our international channels.”

Pupkin forms part of the European production group Newen, a network of production companies consisting of De Mensen in Belgium, CAPA in France, Nimbus in Denmark and more recently iZen in Spain. The company has established a long-time partnership with Bosch, credited for series such as "Van God Los," "Feuten," "Bellicher," and more recently a new series for NPO1. “Pupkin has been my creative home for over ten years, the place where I have been able to develop myself as a creator. Seeing eye to eye with Pieter the way I do, sharing both creative spirit and ambition, it only made sense to take our prolific collaboration to the next level," Bosch said.
