Quintus Studios achieves a significant wave of sales across two of its acclaimed documentary franchises, "Missing Presumed Dead" and "Behind Bars – The World’s Toughest Prisons".

Produced by Spirit Studios, the 10 x 60’ series "Missing Presumed Dead" has been picked up by National Geographic for the US. This latest acquisition follows the original co-production agreement with Hearst Networks EMEA, which secured rights to the series for the UK. "Missing Presumed Dead" uncovers gripping, real-life stories of people who vanished - told from their own perspectives and those of the people who found them - blending mystery, emotion, and revelation.

Quintus also announces a fresh round of international sales for "Behind Bars - The World’s Toughest Prisons", produced by renowned German factual producer Maximus Film. Viasat World has acquired season 2 of the franchise for its Viasat Explore channel across Central & Eastern Europe, Baltics and Scandinavia, with Mediawan in France taking season 3 and CH Media in Switzerland acquiring both seasons 3 and 4. Discovery Latin America has licensed season 5.

This compelling series offers a rare and raw look at daily life inside six of the world’s toughest correctional facilities, immersing viewers in the harsh realities faced by both prisoners and guards.

Anouk van Dijk, Head of Sales & Co-Productions at Quintus Studios, said: “These deals highlight the strong international demand for impactful, character-driven factual storytelling. Both series deliver premium content with real global resonance, and it’s exciting to see them continue to travel to major broadcast partners around the world.”
