RED ARROW’S “MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT” SEALS DEALS WITH GLOBAL BROADCASTERS

Through the agreements concluded by Red Arrow's Tim Gerhartz, Tobias Schulze, and Maria Arroyo, the show will reach several key territories, including Sweden, Italy, France, the Middle East, Portugal, and more. The show is now in its 10th season on Lifetime, with the 11th commissioned, and there are over 170 episodes available.

Red Arrow Studios International has closed a set of global deals for “Married at First Sight” USA, produced by Kinetic Content for Lifetime. SVT Sweden has acquired season six of the show, as well as Norwegian tapes. M6 GROUP in France and Discovery Italy have taken three seasons, and Fox Network Group Middle East purchased Seasons Nine and ten. Additionally, SIC Portugal has taken seven seasons and spin-offs “Married at First Sight: The First Year” and “Married At First Sight: Second Chances.” SIC Portugal obtained the Italian and New Zealand tapes, and PRO Plus Slovenia will air “Married at First Sight” Croatia. “'Married at First Sight' is a truly global brand. Not only is it a hugely successful format, the finished tapes of local versions travel widely too, and are much loved by fans around the world,” said Bo Stehmeier, President at Red Arrow Studios International. “At a time when broadcasters are looking to fill their schedules with entertaining, addictive content, ‘Married at First Sight’ remains the ultimate social experiment acquisition for broadcasters worldwide.” 

Married at First Sight USA is now in its 10th season on Lifetime, in a new supersized two- hour per episode format, following last year’s highest rating season ever, and Season 11 has been commissioned. There are now over 170 episodes of "Married at First Sight" USA available. It was originally produced by Snowman Productions for Denmark, “Married at First Sight” and has become the world’s most-watched relationship show and one of the highest-rating formats of the decade. Now produced in 29 countries, it returns season after season in the US (Lifetime), UK (Channel 4), Australia (Nine Network) and Germany (SAT.1). Red Arrow Studios International holds worldwide rights to the show and these deals were concluded by Tim Gerhartz, SVP Global Sales, Tobias Schulze, VP Sales for France and German-speaking territories and Maria Arroyo, Senior Sales Manager Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Israel, and Latin America.

"Married at First Sight" follows singles who have failed to find love as they put their hearts in the hands of a team of experts, who select their perfect partner. The couples don't meet until their wedding day, at the altar. The married couples then move in together and start their new lives. From the first kiss to the first tears, cameras document their every moment as experts analyze the relationships. Six weeks of marriage later, the couples must make the decision to stay together or file for divorce.
