Sky unveils teasers of its original upcoming series "M. Son of the Century" that will be aired next year on Sky and streaming on NOW and “Sweetpea” that will debut on Sky and streaming on NOW in October.

"M. Son of the Century" is an eight-part series produced by Sky Studios and Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment, a Fremantle group company, in coproduction with Pathé, in association with Small Forward Productions, in collaboration with Fremantle, CINECITTÀ S.p.A., and Sky.

The series is based on the Premio Strega-winning and international bestselling book by Antonio Scurati, which chronicles the birth of fascism in Italy and the Duce Benito Mussolini’s rise to power.

The series will debut in 2025 exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW in all territories where Sky operates in Europe. Fremantle are handling international distribution.

In addition, Sky release also the teaser of “Sweetpea” is a six-part series produced by See-Saw Films and fanboy in association with Sky Studios. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution handle international sales of the series on behalf of Sky Studios.

Ella Purnell ("Yellowjackets") who also serves as executive producer, stars as Rhiannon, a quiet wallflower who develops a vengeful and intoxicatingly liberating taste for murder. She comments: “I truly cannot wait for the world to meet ¿Sweetpea'! I’ve loved exploring this incredibly complex character, as well as working alongside our dynamic cast and powerhouses Ella Jones, Kirstie Swain, and Patrick Walters. This has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career so far. At its core, the series is about a woman finally finding her voice, told through a uniquely dark and comedic lens. I hope audiences have as much fun going on Rhiannon Lewis’ wild, coming-of-rage journey as we did bringing it to life.”
