Tom Pullen will join BBC as a new Commissioning Editor

Former Banijay UK-owned Dragonfly executive Tom Pullen is joining BBC as a new Commissioning Editor. He will be part of the team of Clare Sillery, Head of Commissioning, Documentaries, and will start his new role on November 6.

Pullen joins BBC from Dragonfly, where he is Head of Documentaries, and has spent over six years developing, originating and executive producing an array of innovative new series, singles and feature documentaries. He previously spent over three years as a Development Executive and Director at Raw, before becoming Head of Factual Development at Eleven.

His recent Executive Producer credits include the multi-award-winning factual drama “Then Barbara Met Alan” for BBC and Netflix, the acclaimed feature documentary “Forced Out for Sky,” and the compelling true crime box set “Anni” for the launch of Discovery+. He has also been integral to some of Dragonfly’s most innovative new commissions including “Life and Birth” (BBC One), “What Makes a Murderer” (Channel 4), “Date My Mate” (Amazon), and “Diagnosis Detectives” (BBC Two).
