Wag Entertainment appoints Jane Glasson to Director of UK Development role

The executive will be responsible for strengthening the company's footprint in the UK and the streamer platforms.

Wag Entertainment recently appointed Jane Glasson to the newly created role of Director of UK Development, as the company positions for further growth in the UK and US following recent orders from streamers and broadcasters including Netflix, Paramount+, ITV and Channel 5.“I’m delighted to be working with Jane again," Boseley said. "She has proven track record of creating successful shows across a wide variety of genres for a range of networks. She’ll be instrumental as we continue to grow our business, expanding our slate and our partnerships with broadcasters and streamers in the UK and internationally.”

Under her new role, Glasson will be tasked with developing new content to build on Wag’s expansion into the UK and the streamer platforms. She will work in collaboration with Bri Marzigliano, Head of US development who will continue to deliver on Wag’s existing international slate. Upon assuming her position, she will report to Creative Director Bridget Boseley.

Glasson most recently contributed to Spun Gold TV, where during five years as Head of Development, she was responsible for a raft of commissions including "The Grand Party Hotel"(BBC1), Inside "Dubai: Playground of the Rich" (BBC2), "My Years with the Queen" (ITV), "Inside Westminster Abbey" (Channel 5), "Inside the Caribbean" (Channel 4), and popular crime series and specials for Channel 5 and 5Star.  Jane previously headed up development at Scream Films and has developed and produced shows for a multitude of networks including BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, TLC, National Geographic, Disney+, and Apple TV, at companies including Tiger Aspect Productions, September Films, StoryVault Films and Burning Bright Productions.

The executive joins the company a year after it was acquired by Asacha Media Group. “I’m really thrilled to be joining Steven, Bridget and the Wag team at an exciting time for the company and with a lot of opportunities to build its business going forward," Glasson said.
