French animation studio Xilam Animation has secured a raft of broadcast pre-sales for its CG preschool proprietary series, "Piggy Builders". Originally commissioned by BBC (UK), France Télévisions (France) and ZDF (Germany), the 52 x 11’ series has now been acquired by VRT Ketnet (Flemish Belgium), Téléquebec (French Canada), YLE (Finland), Warner Bros. Discovery (Italy), RTS (Switzerland) and SVT (Sweden).

In addition, France TV Distribution has been appointed as the licensing agent for "Piggy Builders" in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Xilam is showcasing the property at Brand Licensing Europe at booth A130, while simultaneously building a consumer products program across toys, plush, apparel and publishing. A full style guide is already available.

Directed by Romain Villemaine ("Ricky Zoom", "Maya the Bee"), "Piggy Builders" premiered on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer on July 28, 2025, with launches in additional territories expected in the coming weeks. The series follows Cornelia, Cesar and Charlie, three charismatic, curly-tailed piggy siblings who live in Fine Forest. They share a passion for building, problem-solving, and contributing to their community. Another thing they share: they still have much to learn about working as a team. But when they succeed in collaborating, the impossible becomes possible.

Commenting on the deals, Safaa Benazzouz, EVP Distribution at Xilam Animation, highlighted the strong reception: "Since introducing "Piggy Builders" to the international market, the response across the board has been fantastic – firstly with BBC, France Télévisions and ZDF jointly boarding the series, and now welcoming a range of additional leading broadcasters into the fold. We’re very much looking forward to seeing our little piggies entertain young audiences and their families around the world, through their humorous adventures and charming stories of teamwork," noted.
