Yahya Abdul-Mateen II signs first-look deal with Sony Pictures TV

The Emmy winner's first project with the studio is an adaptation of the novel "Ghostman". The actor founded House Eleven10 in 2021, with Andrew Fischel serving as president.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and his House Eleven10 production banner have signed a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television. Under the mutli-year deal, Abdul-Mateen will produce scripted drama series for streaming and cable.First up, he is attached to star in a series adaptation of the Roger Hobbs novel “Ghostman” with House Eleven10 producing.

Ghostman will star Abdul-Mateen as the title character, who specializes in making things disappear. When a botched casino heist leaves millions in cash up for grabs, however, he has 48 hours to clean up the mess, while staying ahead of someone who wants him dead.

Let´s remember Abdul-Mateen founded House Eleven10 in 2021, with Andrew Fischel serving as president. The actor is known for roles in shows like “Watchmen,” for which he won the Emmy for best supporting actor in a limited series, as well as “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Black Mirror,” and “The Get Down.” He has starred in films like “The Trial of The Chicago 7,” the two “Aquaman” films, “Candyman,” and “Ambulance.”
