The documentary series “Zero Waste Chef,” the new venture from HBO Max for the end of the year, produced by Beta Entertainment Spain, will debut on the platform in mid-December.

The docuseries tells the story of the young ecologist, Diego García Vega as he journeys through eight European countries. In each country he will get to know the different problems related to food waste and initiatives that exist to fight against it. During his journey, Diego will also meet some of the most famous chefs in each country and he will prepare a dish with them that tries to reduce food waste.

“Zero Waste Chef” consists of eight, forty-five minute episodes, in which the young biologist and ecologist learns how to cook "wasted food" with the help of some of the best chefs in Europe. The objective is to show the world that you can also reuse food.

“This is more than a television factual format. It is not only about the food, it is about us, human beings, our future, the future of the Planet. And besides that, it is an entertaining format,”  commented Javier Perez de Silva, CEO of Beta Entertainment Spain.
