LINNEA HEMENEZ, NEW SVP INTERNATIONAL MARKETING FOR STARZ INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL NETWORKS

An award-winning marketing executive, Hemenez will lead Starzplay’s international marketing efforts for Starzplay, available in more than 56 countries globally.

Starz confirmed the recent addition of Linnea Hemenez as Senior Vice President of International Marketing to the Starz International Digital Networks team. Hemenez will report directly to Executive Vice President of International Digital Networks Superna Kalle. “I am excited to welcome Linnea to bring her expertise to our ever-expanding territory and partner portfolio,” said Superna Kalle. “As we lean into strengthening our global brand presence in each country to scale Starzplay and drive subscription, Linnea’s keen understanding of branding, content, partners, and digital strategy will be a key part of reaching success.”

An award-winning marketing executive, Hemenez will lead Starzplay’s international marketing efforts for Starzplay, available in more than 56 countries globally, working across brand, content marketing, media, partner marketing, social, and acquisition to make Starzplay a successful global brand in partnership with the larger Starz organization. Before joining Starz, Hemenez served as Head of Content Marketing at Spotify, where she spearheaded global marketing and promotional strategy for podcasts, music, and creators. Making Variety’s 2019 Digital Impact Report, she also led her team to partner with Billie Eilish to promote the singer-songwriter’s debut album in 20 countries for online, out-of-home media, and a physical pop-up a Gold Clio Award for Spotify’s Billie Eilish Experience.

Hemenez also co-led the consumer video vertical for Facebook’s internal creative agency managing, creative development, and production to marketing and promote Facebook Watch Originals, Creators, Gaming, and core video product-specific features. In her former role as Vice President, Originals & Content Marketing at Hulu, Hemenez built and led all content marketing, social media, promotional and editorial efforts for Hulu’s original and licensed content – including originating and executing marketing campaigns for Hulu original and licensed content. Hemenez earned a Master’s Degree in Public Art Studies from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Women Studies from the University of California. She currently sits on the Promax board and lives in Los Angeles.
